Room 8's Assembly Item

Room 8 had our Assembly Item on Friday, We worked very hard to learn the words and actions and loved performing for the school and parents.  Mrs Reid was very proud of us!

Book Week

We have been learning about books this week and having a great time exploring and listening to lots of different books.
Ms Anderson set the school a challenge this week to create a book cover (with a blurb on the back) about an everyday Superhero.
We have learnt what a blurb needs to catch a readers attention and what goes onto both the front and back covers of books.  Here are some of our book covers and blurbs.

Our Buddy Class

Last Friday we met with our Buddy Class for the first time.  Our Buddy Class is Room 11. We had such a great time listening to our buddies read to us and sharing our reading with them.  Thank you Room 11!

Pohutukawa Learning Slogan

This morning each Learning Hub at Parkvale Scchol presented their learning slogan to the rest of the school.  Here is ours.  We thought it was pretty cool!
